I plan on continuing my bike rides to work from Isle of Hope to the Health Dept on Eis. Drive twice a week Weds. and Fri.s. I pray that motorists will give me room on the road while passing especially along LaRoche Ave. Hopefully,"Dump the Pump" will bring out more bicycles and it will bring out more safety awareness from motorists!

I have been riding a bicycle to work everyday for the past five years. Living locally is easy if you choose to live in a mixed use neighborhood close to your job.

I pledge not to use a car at all on Friday.

I'll be riding the bike all day, everywhere--yay! It's prime time to make Savannah's bicyclists a visible presence in the town.

I ride my bike to work everyday. I will plan on picking my son up from school on my bike so my wife doesn't have to drive on Friday.

Yeah, yeah, yeah..... of course we are going to ride our bikes. Many of us do that everyday. REAL "Dump-the-Pumpers" consider real alternative forms of transport <just for kicks. Turns out Savannah is the ideal place for those wanting to get seriously alternative. Consider this short list of the following common formas of transport Savannah has to offer and ask yourself, where else could you have such a diverse and interesting range of "transpo-culture".

Let's see how many of these you have tried in Savannah.

Ready? Here goes:

* 3 wheel scooter cars
* skateboards
* rollerblades
* unicycles
* horses
* horse carriages
* big trike (like the 10 foot front wheel variety popular say 100 years ago)
* seques
* trolleys
* feet (of course!)
* scooters
* motorcycles, lot’s of ‘em
* whacky bikes
* buses
* bicycles- triathalon, road bikes, mountain bikes, beach bikes and “beaters”
* pedicabs
* boats- very, very, very big to very small, fast, slow, etc
* trains
* golf carts
* electric skateboards
* go karts
* motorized bikes
* pedal-powered cars
* trikes
* motor coaches
* RV’s
